Vehicle for the food bank (Tafel) in Baden-Baden

The food bank (Tafel) in Baden-Baden is struggling to cope with a sudden surge in demand. The waiting time for food bank eligibility is currently more than three months, with a waiting list of 200–250 people.

At the same time, the amount of food donated per collection point is decreasing, meaning that staff are having to go to more and more shops to obtain sufficient supplies. This is not possible with the one vehicle at their disposal. Hence an additional electric urban vehicle is to be procured to enable more frequent trips, also to smaller shops.
It will cost approximately €38,000 to procure the vehicle.
The Redel Foundation is supporting the project with €23,000.
