The Redel Foundation supports social projects in close collaboration with Caritas International, operating transparently and efficiently around the world.

The foundation’s statutes explicitly exclude distributions to private individuals. Inheritance structures, claims by private individuals, or influence over the foundation’s decisions by third parties beyond the appointed board, as is often the case with family foundations, do not apply to the Redel Foundation.

Guided by the principle “to help people”, the Redel Foundation was established in 1988 by the family of the founder of Cesra Arzneimittel GmbH. As part of this process, Cesra GmbH was transferred into the foundation’s assets. The Redel Foundation is the owner of Cesra Arzneimittel GmbH.

Cesra’s product portfolio includes phytopharmaceutical medicines and medical cosmetics. Through its subsidiary ocean pharma, the company offers healing and protective products characterised by high efficacy and tolerability. All products are based on natural active substances and ingredients and draw on the power of nature.

The revenues generated by Cesra each year are channelled directly into projects supported by the Redel Foundation, unless they are reinvested to ensure Cesra’s long-term sustainability.
